Cory Bowles is a Halifax, Nova Scotia based filmmaker, writer, actor, university instructor and choreographer.
His newest short film “Heart of Rhyme” – a story about a middle aged-white man who, following a heart transplant surgery, finds himself compelled to rap, tag public property, and be overall aware of the rhythmns of his environment – will premiere at the 2011 TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, Sept 13th
The film was the recipient of the 2010 CBC/ FILM NS Bridge award and is the first to be a selection at TIFF.
Produced by Preston Hudson for DERBY STREET PICTURES, "Heart of Rhyme" is his first project with Cory as a creative team.
